Love them both. This was the first Randy Crawford I heard yes, I missed all of her 80's work. So glad I got caught up! Marc Floyd Randy Crawford merits the right to cover Steve Perry's stuff. I love this girl. And she covers this song in the way I'm sure it was meant to be done. What a singer! I've never heard of her, and you don't say, so I don't know. What, was she married to Steve Perry and had to put up with his narcissism? That would merit anyone. Just curious. I remember when answering machines were out, and this played in the background of my message.

I thought I was really doing something too. Better than the original which was one of the best records I have ever heard, what a singer we are blessed to be able o say we were there when she was at her best.
